It apparently happens all the time on this website even though there are many ways that this website can verify if the purchase is fraudulent...but they never do. They seem to have money and time to upgrade the website and change the code to automatically change user settings about participation in sales events, but never enough money to implement a payment verification system. Odd, isn't it?
Payment verification systems are not expensive to integrate, and may result in small charges to each purchase 5 cents to a dollar (US) but it saves a lot of money in the long run.
Does anybody else find it suspicious, that this happens a LOT here? Is proof provided, or do the admins just "say" that a stolen credit card was used? It would be so easy just to say that it was a stolen card and pocket the money. Who would know?
Or is there some sort of criminal enterprise that steals credit card information and download 3D models to develop games. I'm not sure about you, but if I was an unscrupulous criminal, I would use a stolen credit card to buy anything other than 3D models.
